The article deals with the findings of a 2008–2009 monitoring, conducted in Penza district (the Russian Federation, Penza Oblast). The monitoring was aimed at studying the vocational self-determination development and vocational personality trend development of senior pupils attending schools located in rural areas. The findings indicate that there is a connection between vocational self-determination development and vocational personality trend development.
